day 4: lunch and beyond

I'll attempt to start where I left off on Wednesday.  Nana Set up an extra special lunch for Hudson while at Hollywood and Vine.  At lunch Hudson dined with Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Special Agent Osso, Handy Manny and June from Little Einsteins.  Hudson was amazed they were there and was so excited when each one came to our table.  He was especially taken with pretty June, holding her hand and blowing her kisses.  As our meal came to an end the very best part began as the characters started singing and dancing with the kiddos invited to join in.  We didn't have to ask Hudson twice.  He wanted to be right where the action was, dancing right up to the characters and backing into them into what we affectionately call "Hud hugs.". Then, as though starting his own special dance movement, he climbed up into a chair att empty table and started slapping the table to the music.  To our surprise, and Hudson's, the characters gathered around m and joined in.  He had a ball!  

After lunch,we set outta watch the parade!  Yeah, he was excited... To say the least! 

After seeing him in the parade, we decided to set out  to see if we could find Hudson's favorite characters, Woody and Buzz from Toy Story.  Once we found them we stood impatiently in line (yes, while patient at first as the minutes dragged, I think we all got anxious to get there). Finally, it was our turn.  The wait was worth it!  The moment we turned the corner and he spotted Woody his face lit up, his squinty, dimply smile covered his sweet face.  He went right up to Woody and backed up to give him his most genuine Hud hug.  As Woody pulled him close, Hudson gently laid his head on Woody, in complete heaven. What about Buzz? Well, Hudson did eventually give him some love too, but it was nothing compared to Woody.  It was a moment I hope I never forget, fully encapsulating the innocence and gentleness of my sweet Hudson meeting his hero. 

Although I think Hudson was content to stay there all day, we set out again, this time to visit more of the sights.  We traveled to Honey I Shrunk The Kids park where Hudson ran around giggling through gigantic scene with slides, caves and tunnels.  He even rode an ant! 

Next, we saw some of our favorite characters in the Muppets 3d movie! 

By that time, we had once again worn the little guy out and so we ended our day at Hollywood Studios.  

Thank goodness no one snapped a picture of me doing the same! 

After a nap and recharge we went back to Downtown Disney for dinner.  Where else do we head with Hudson but T-Rex! Yep, Hud heaven.  There we dined among the triceratops and stegosaurus Hud growling and pointing all around. 

After some shopping, dancing, another carousel ride and a trip to Ghiradelli (my favorite stop) we were done and all ready for bed! 

Another fabulous day in the books and amazing memories made!
